Tyra Turner

Tyra Turner ( born July 21, 1976 in Fort Myers Beach, Florida as Tyra Harper ) is an American beach volleyball player.

Career

Tyra Turner plays since 2003 on the U.S. AVP Tour and since 2005 internationally on the FIVB World Tour. You came 2007/2008 with Rachel Scott and Nicole Branagh at the FIVB tournaments fourteen times in the top ten, and that included a ninth place finish at the World Championships in Gstaad 2007. Since 2009 Tyra Turner plays with Angela Akers. Akers / Turner reached at the World Championships in Gstaad fifth place and with another 17 FIVB Top Tens consistently good rankings. Since 2011, Tyra Turner plays only on national tournaments in the USA.

Private

Tyra Turner is married to the American beach volleyball player Chad Turner since 2005. They live alternately in Southern California and Florida.
