Tyrus Thomas

Tyrus Wayne Thomas ( born August 17, 1986 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is an American professional basketball player. The 2.06 m wide and 98 -pound player was drafted in the NBA Draft in 2006 in fourth place of the Portland Trail Blazers and traded immediately for LaMarcus Aldridge, the second pick of the draft to the Chicago Bulls along with Viktor Khryapa. Previously, the power forward played at Louisiana State College. In his last year of college, he scored 12.3 points per game, 9.3 rebounds and 3.1 blocks also.

On 18 February 2010 he was traded for Ronald Murray and Acie Law to the Charlotte Bobcats. For the Bobcats Thomas played until the summer of 2013. During the summer break, the Bobcats broke the existing contract with Thomas on using the option.
