LaMarcus Aldridge

LaMarcus Aldridge Nurae (born 19 July 1985 in Dallas, Texas ) is an American professional basketball player who is currently available for the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA active. He is 2,11 m tall and plays in the position of power forwards.

After he was pulled in the NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls, was soon followed by an exchange for Tyrus Thomas to Portland. In his rookie season, the election to the NBA All- Rookie First Team won him, Aldridge received especially after the injury to center Joel Przybilla season. 2007/ 08 he was able to, after having Greg Oden Portland hopefuls had failed on the center position before the start of the season, establish themselves as key players and performers.

In the season 2010/11 Aldridge celebrated his breakthrough. Despite the injuries to Brandon Roy and Oden Aldridge led the Blazers in the playoffs, where in 6 games in the first round of the later NBA champion Dallas Mavericks defeated. With 21.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game Aldridge scored Karrierebestwerte. He was elected to the All- NBA Third Team and landed in the election for the NBA Most Improved Player Award behind Kevin Love to second place.
