Ugo Riccarelli

Ugo Riccarelli ( born December 3, 1954 in Cirié, † July 21, 2013 in Rome ) was an Italian writer.

Life

Riccarelli studied philosophy in Turin and then worked in the Biblioteca Praetorian Palace and as an assistant director and journalist in Pisa. In 1995 he published his first work, Le scarpe appese al cuore, next Riccarelli wrote poetry. In 2004 he won the Premio Strega important Italian literary prize for his work Il dolore perfetto. In Germany he was known by his Bruno Schulz 's novel Un uomo che si forse chiamava Schulz ( 1998) (Engl. A man who was perhaps Schulz, 1999). In 2004 he published his short story collection Fausto Coppi's Angel in German, in 2006 appeared the perfect pain (Translation of Il dolore perfetto ) and 2009 The Wizard ( Un mare di nulla ).

Riccarelli was married, father of a daughter and stepfather of two more children from the first marriage of his wife. Riccarelli lived in Rome.
