Ukrainian Grey cattle

The Ukrainian Grey Cattle or Ukrainian Grey Cattle ( Russian: Cepaя yкpaинcкaя, Seraiah Ukrainskaja ) is a breed of cattle from the country of Ukraine.

Breeding history

The breed is very old and used with many steppe cattle breeds in southern Europe. Until the early 20th century it was widespread in Ukraine. Over the following decades, this old country race of the productive breeds ( Red Steppe Cattle, Simmental, Brown Swiss ) was displaced by displacement intersection. Today purebred animals are very rare.

Occurrence

In 1980, only 1,000 animals the number. Protected stocks still exist in Poliwanowka in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and in the nature reserve Askania -Nova in Kherson Oblast in Ukraine.
