Ulrich Deppendorf

Ulrich Depp Village ( born January 27, 1950 in Essen) is a German journalist and television presenter. He's since May 2007, studio director and editor in television ARD studio.

Life

Ulrich Depp village grew up in food and Dinslaken. After graduating from high school in 1970 in Duisburg, he initially proposed a legal career and studied at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster law. The First State Examination followed in 1976. Afterwards he worked briefly as a court clerk. In November 1976 he was a volunteer at the West German Radio. Until 1991 he remained there. He hosted the show here and now and worked as an editor for the Journal 3, the news and the issues of the day.

In 1980, Depp village as an editor for special projects in the editorship of the WDR television. There he took over from 1986 to 1989 the line. At the same time he was first deputy head of the drafting group Current Affairs News. From December 1989 he was promoted to head of this drafting group. In May 1987, Depp village became active again in front of the camera and moderated the first time in the German election events. During this time he developed with Gerd Berger broadcast ZAK.

1991 left Ulrich Depp village WDR and went to Hamburg, where he was two years later the first chief editor of the news and the issues of the day. In May 2002, he returned as a program director for television WDR in Cologne. From 2003 to 2007, Ulrich Depp village also ARD television game coordinator and in 2006 overall coordinator of the ARD 's coverage of the World Cup in Germany. Depp village was in 2003 in an interview as the director of the merged from ORB and SFB Rundfunk Berlin -Brandenburg ( RBB), but could not prevail against the finally selected candidate Dagmar rhyme. In May 2007 he returned to Berlin and was again head of the ARD Berlin Studios. His contract as head of capital Studios has been extended until 31 May 2015.

Weekly produces the capital Studio Podcast Depp village week, in which he talks about the most important political events of the week and his personal evaluation manifests. Depp village week is set to tagesschau.de and aired on tagesschau24.

He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Journalists Network and the Berlin School of Journalism.

Depp village is married.
