Ulrich Mahlknecht
Ulrich Rudolph miller's man ( born April 29, 1967 in Ravensburg, Germany ) is a German physician.
Life
Ulrich miller's man is in star (La Villa ), municipality of Badia, Alta Badia, Val Badia, South Tyrol, grown up. He studied medicine at the Universities of Bochum, Birmingham, Paris and Tübingen, where he received his doctorate in 1995. His specialist training, he began at the Albert- Ludwigs- University of Freiburg im Breisgau. From 1996 to 1999, Ulrich Mahlknecht Postdoctorand the Picower Institute for Medical Research of the State University of New York. From 1999 to 2003 he continued his training as an internist in the focus in hematology and oncology at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt / Main, where he habilitated in the field of internal medicine. Since 2004 he worked as a senior physician at the Medical Clinic of the University of Heidelberg, where he oversaw the Medical Task Force " Myeolodysplastisches syndrome ( MDS) and acute leukemia " ( colloquially referred to as blood cancer ). At the same time, he headed the MDS Center of Excellence Heidelberg, whose founder he was.
Scientific Ulrich miller's man has within the Emmy -Noether program of guided Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft ( DFG) and supported by the German José Carreras projects Leukemia Foundation, which, as well as with the study of the molecular basis and the development of epigenetic and immunotherapeutic strategies for the treatment of acute leukemia of MDS deal. 2007 Ulrich miller's man was appointed as a professor at the University of the Saarland to the Chair of immunotherapy and gene therapy, where he explores new concepts for molecular therapy of acute leukemias and myelodysplastic syndrome of the José Carreras Centre for immune and gene therapy. Ulrich miller's man is President of the Clinical Epigenetics Society, a nonprofit international association that has become the promotion of science and research in the field of clinical epigenetics the goal and founder of the scientific journal Clinical Epigenetics.
Since 2012 he has been the chief physician of the Department of Oncology and Hematology at St. Luke Hospital in Solingen.
