Mountain passes in Afghanistan

The Unai Pass has a peak height of 3300 m and overcomes the Sanglakh mountains of the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan. It is located west of Kabul and is the main link from Kabul with Hazarajat. The pass is located about 80 kilometers from Kabul and lies between Jalez and Gardandiwal. The road leads to Gardandiwal further to 3700 m high Hajigak Pass.

In Sanglakh Mountains of the Kabul River near the Unai Pass and the longest at 1,125 km of river of Afghanistan, the Helmund springs.
