Hajigak-Pass

The apex of the Hajigak Pass ( hajji gak means "little pilgrimage " ) in the Afghan province of Bamiyan is 3500 m high. The pass overcomes on the road from Kabul to Bamiyan in central Afghanistan, the Koh -e Baba Mountains. From Kabul, starting the path leads through the Unai Pass, then down to Gardan Diwal and up again to Hajigak Pass. Since this is very high, it can not be driven in snow. Another way to Bamiyan via the Shibar Pass, which overcomes only 3000 m altitude. Therefore, this is traveled frequently.

In the mountains of Hajigak there is an iron deposits, which is estimated at 1.8 million tons.
