Uncelen

Uncilin (also Uncelin, lat Uncelenus ), ( * in the 6th century; † 613) was 587-607 Alamannic Duke.

587 put the Austrasian king Childebert II the Alemanni Duke Leutfred I. and from certain Uncilin his successor.

After the death of Childebert II 595 of Thurgau, Kembsgau and Alsace went to Burgundy and Uncilin so under the frankoburgundischen supremacy of King Theodoric II

605 Theodoric II fought against his brother Theudebert II, his army, however, opposed the arrangement for battle. Theodoric II commissioned the Burgundian house Meier Protadius to move the army into battle, but also his command defied the army, and put Protadius fixed. Probably in the same year (or 606 ) received Uncilin of Theodoric II the same order. Uncilin, however, pointed to the command and let Protadius by the army of murder.

In revenge for the murder of Prodadius was Queen Bruni Childe 607 Uncilin cut off a foot, he was thus incapacitation as Duke. After Lex Alamannorum, the Alemannic law book, a duke was only able amt if he could mount a horse itself.
