Uncial 064

Uncial 064 ( Gregory- Aland, ε 10 von Soden ), is a Greek Unzialhandschrift of the New Testament on parchment leaves.

Description

The manuscript contains the Gospels of Matt 25,15 - Mar 5,20. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the 6th century. At the time, as Caspar René Gregory original catalog numbers then assigned the manuscripts was not yet known with certainty that the uncial 064, 074 and 090 were from the same code, as they were stored in three different places:

It is a palimpsest. The upper text contains Syriac liturgical.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Kurt Aland placed it in Category V.
