Unidad de Gestión Operativa Mitre Sarmiento

The Unidad de Gestión Operativa Mitre Sarmiento ( UGOMS SA ), ( German: "railway operating unit Mitre Sarmiento " ), is an Argentine Konsortialunternehmen, which operates the suburban traffic on the route networks Sarmiento and Mitre since 2012. At the UGOMS the two private transport companies and Ferrovías Metrovías and the Argentine government are involved. While the former take over the driving personnel and maintenance, the state has taken over the management and payment.

The two route networks Mitre and Sarmiento were originally operated by the private company Trenes de Buenos Aires. The Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner deprived the company with the Decree 793/2012 on 24 May 2012, the concession. This was mainly due to breach of contract, passenger protests, the state of traffic and accidents, particularly the severe accident at Once Railway Station on 22 February 2012 with 51 dead and injuring more than 700.

The company was then founded on May 24 as a stock corporation under Argentine law. As a model applies the UGOFE, which was founded in a similar case as well for a withdrawal of a concession.

Since the establishment of the company is the focus of this - in addition to the everyday operation of the two route networks - on the repair of locomotives and cars. In addition, there is a focus on the elimination of level crossings as well as the renovation of railway stations. Furthermore, working on a tunnel solution for the Sarmiento line.
