Unikowice

Unikowice ( German Heinzendorf ) is a town in the municipality Paczków in Poland with 360 inhabitants ( as of 2008). It is located in powiat Nyski in the Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

The Waldhufendorf in Frankish form of settlement on the northern edge of the Reichensteiner Mountains ( Gory Złote / Rychlebské hory) is - 250 m above sea level - about two kilometers southeast of Paczków. The settlers put their hooves on along the river Tarnów, which comes from the nearby Reichensteiner Mountains and Alt- Patschkau ( Stary Paczków ) in the Glatzer Neisse flows.

History

Probably Heinzendorf was founded together with Patschkau to 1254. It was like many other villages around Patschkau to develop the Neisser diocese country. His first documentary mention is the place around 1300 in Breslau episcopal recording.

The population was, as generally, catholic coined in Neisse- Ottmachauer diocese country. The village belonged to the parish since the Middle Ages the nearby town colonists Patschkau ( Paczków ). That is why the place has since 1774 only a small Trinity Chapel. Evangelical Christians were part of the Protestant parish Patschkau. A schoolmaster house is mentioned in 1784, in 1856 it was replaced by a one-story building. In 1925, 40 children went to the school einklässige. In 1937 there were in place two forges, a carpentry shop, a wheelwright, two mills, two tailor shops and a nursery. Prior to the 1920s, a cheese factory was available.
