The Unitec Institute of Technology ( Māori: Te Whare Wānanga o Wairaka ) is a university in Auckland, New Zealand. The educational institution was founded in 1976. The main campus is located in Mt Albert and another in Henderson. The university is a member of the International Association of Universities. As an Institute of Technology, it is comparable to a technical university in Germany.
