United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations
The United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations, AFOSI official abbreviation, but also informally abbreviated as OSI, is a the Secretary of the Air Force directly subordinate to authority established in the Russell -Knox Building on the Marine Corps Base at Quantico. The commander of the AFOSI is Brigadier General Kevin J. Jacobsen.

The objectives of AFOSI are:

- Detect or identify hazards and mitigate
- Worldwide offer special services
- Line in major crime investigations
- Offensive actions against foreign enemies and threats

Construction
The AFOSI is divided into eight regions:
- Region 1 at the Air Force Materiel Command
- Region 2 at the Air Combat Command
- Region 3 at the Air Mobility Command
- Region 4 at the Air Education and Training Command
- Region 5 at the United States Air Forces in Europe
- Region 6 at the Pacific Air Forces
- Region 7 in the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force
- Region 8 at the Air Force Space Command
All of these regions, except Region 7, are major units, so-called major commands, the United States Air Force.
