United States Secretary of the Air Force

The Secretary of the Air Force ( SECAF ) is the civilian head (Eng. about Secretary of State ) of the U.S. Department of the Air Force.

Organization and order

The SECAF reports directly to the Secretary of Defense and is responsible for the administrative and technical " business days " of the United States Air Force. The governing body of the SECAF is made up of his deputy ( Under Secretary German Undersecretary of State ), the Assistant Secretaries ( Assistant Secretaries ), the General Counsel (Supreme legal advisor, or legal counsel ), the Inspector General ( Inspector General ), the Air Reserve Forces Policy Committee ( air Force reserve Board ) and other legally established offices and service positions of the SECAF together.

The Secretary of the Air Force is appointed by the President of the United States and must be confirmed by the Senate.
