United States Basketball League

The United States Basketball League ( USBL ) is a professional basketball league in the United States of America. The league was founded in 1985 and has since been a championship held every year, except in the season of 1989. The current champions are the Kansas Cagerz, who won the final on 1 July 2007.

League rules

In the course of a game, the same rules apply as those of the NBA. There are also some provisions such as:

  • The United States Basketball League runs from late April to late June, so that the leagues Summer cover ( like. as the NBA ) is not in time with the seasonality of the USBL.
  • Each team must have in its ranks at least two rookies ( newcomers ).
  • Every year a draft for young talents instead

Teams of the 2007 season

Originally, the USBL began with ten teams were divided into two Divsisons to five teams. However, with the failure of the New Jersey Meteors, Delaware Stars and Jackson Wildcats ( and the short-term failure of Long Iceland Primetime ) the league was divided into a single division.
