Spud Webb

Anthony " Spud " Webb ( born July 13, 1963 in Dallas, USA ) is a retired American professional basketball player.

With only 1.70 m, it is one of the smallest professional basketball player in NBA history, which thereby offsetting that he possessed this size disadvantage over an extraordinary jumping ability. He was the smallest player ever won a slam dunk contest in the NBA (1986).

Sporting career

Due to its size, the interest of most of the colleges was to take him to his high school degree in the team's first low. He eventually became a member of the team of the Midland Junior College, which he led to a national junior title in 1982. Thus, the North Carolina State University became aware of Webb, who offered him a scholarship.

Webb spent most of his playing time in the team of the Atlanta Hawks, but was committed for short periods of time even with the Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic.

In 1998, he ended his basketball career.

He is now President of Basketball Operations for the NBA D -League Frisco.
