Idaho Stampede

The Idaho Stampede are a basketball team of the NBA Development League, which is located in Boise ( Idaho). The team plays its home games in the comprehensive 5,300 spectators for basketball matches CenturyLink Arena.

History

Originally, the team was founded in 1997 and until 2006 was part of the Continental Basketball Association. After the 2005/2006 season announced the owner of the team that the Stampede for the season 2006/2007 would switch to the NBA Development League. There, the Stampede have been integrated as a new " farm team " of the Portland Trail Blazers and the Denver Nuggets in the league. After the dissolution of the Utah Flash in 2011, was the Utah Jazz assigned to the Stampede as a new farm team. However, this lasted only one season before the Stampede in 2012 and the sole farm team the Trail Blazers.

The most successful season for the team in 2007 /2008. The Stampede were able to advance to the finals of the Championship and won the championship against the Austin Toros.

For the 2010/2011 season, the Stampede was the former All-Star Antoine Walker commit, which already successfully for the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks previously played in the NBA.
