Université de technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard

The Technical University of Belfort -Montbéliard (French Université de technologie de Belfort -Montbéliard ), with three locations in the region of Upper Burgundy is one of only three technical universities in France.

History

The Technical University of Belfort- Montbeliard was founded in 1994 after the model of the American University of Pennsylvania. Like the other two technical universities in Compiègene and Troyes, the Technical University of Belfort -Montbéliard is a mix between an engineering school and a conventional university.

In the academic year 2004/ 05 the college had about 2050 students on three campuses in Belfort, Montbéliard and Sevenans.

Study

Studying at the TU Belfort -Montbéliard is divided into one for all common two-year foundation course (so-called " integrated preparatory classes " ) and an adjoining three -year-old graduate with more choices. Many students, however, have completed their undergraduate studies in a preparatory class or another university, and only come to the main study at the University of BM. After undergraduate studies at one of the three technical universities, for example, one has the choice to continue his studies also in one of the other two without entrance examination. The main study in Belfort -Montbéliard closes with an engineering degree in fields of study offered by four different, namely, computer science, mechanical engineering, process engineering or electrical and control systems.

In addition to the engineering degree from the University, a master's degree can be acquired state.
