University of Redlands

The University of Redlands is a private university located in Redlands in California. The main campus covers 160 acres ( 65 ha ) and is located near the city center. Other sites are located in Apple Valley, Burbank, Rancho Cucamonga; Riverside; Santa Ana, San Diego, Temecula, and Torrance.

History

The University of Redlands was founded in 1907 by an initiative of the American Baptist Church. Pastor Jasper Newton Field was the first president. 1909 was the administration building and in June 1910, the first three graduates were graduated.

Organization

The current president is James R. Appleton. The study program is divided today into five areas:

  • College of Arts and Sciences
  • School of Education
  • School of Business
  • School of Music
  • Johnston Center for Integrative Studies

In addition, it operates in Salzburg Centre for European Studies ( sutlers Schlössl ), and in Oaxaca, Mexico, a teaching center for the history and culture of southern Mexico and Westguatemala, as well as globalization and tourism.
