The University of Salento (Italian: Università degli Studi di Salento; Latin: Universitas Studiorum Lupiensis ) (until 2007: University of Lecce ) is a public university founded in 1955 with its center in Lecce in the Puglia region of Italy belonging Salento countryside with 28 775 students.
