Unto Ashes is a New York Music Ensemble, which was founded in 1997 by Michael Laird and Susanna Melendez. Currently the band consists of the artists Michael Laird, Natalia Lincoln and Mariko.

Mariko

Mariko, civil Sarah M. Newman, is a singer and violinist from New York City and front singer of Unto Ashes. She completed her music studies at the Juilliard School and the Manhattan School and is trained in classical singing, violin, guitar, piano, bass, clarinet, Hammered Dulcimer and percussion. She is also an actor in the rock oratorio " Justine's Red". Background singer and violinist in Qntal.
