Upton, Quebec

Upton is a municipality ( Municipalité ) in the regional county municipality of Acton in the Canadian province of Québec. The community Upton was born on 15 February 1998 by merger of the former places Upton and Saint- Ephrem - d'Upton. Mayor Yves Croteau.

Upton is located about 75 km east of Montréal and 170 km southwest of Quebec City on the banks of the Rivière Noire. Neighboring communities of Upton are Saint -Nazaire- d'Acton in the north, Saint -Théodore - d'Acton and Acton Vale in the east, Saint- Valérien -de- Milton in the south, Saint- Liboire in the West and Ste -Hélène -de- Bagot in the northwest.

Traffic

Upton is located on Route 116, 10 km to the west of the Autoroute 20, which extends from Québec on ​​Drummondville to Montreal.
