Ur, Pyrénées-Orientales

Ur is a commune with 358 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Pyrénées- Orientales in the Languedoc- Roussillon region.

The municipality is located in the Cerdanya in the Pyrenees. It is bordered on the southwest by Spain and on the east by the Spanish exclave Llívia. The inhabitants call themselves Urois or Uroises.

Church of Saint -Martin

The Romanesque church Saint -Martin was built in the 11th century, renovated in the 18th century and equipped with a bell tower. She is since 1934 a monument historique.
