Uri Coronel

Uri Coronel (born 24 December 1946 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch football official. From 2008 to 2011 he was President of Ajax Amsterdam.

Life and work

Coronel in 1989 member of the board of his home club AFC Ajax. In this role, he drove significantly advanced the planning and realization of the construction of the Amsterdam Arena. The president, he took over in 2008 from his predecessor John Jaakke. After a relatively short period of three years Coronel was in March 2011, his resignation unknown. Among the reasons he called especially disagreements with the club legend Johan Cruijff.
