Uri Orbakh

Uri Shraga Orbach ( Auerbach ) ( אורי שרגא אורבך; born April 28, 1960 in Petah Tikva ) is an Israeli politician and member of the Knesset HaBajit haJehudi. After the parliamentary elections in January 2013 he will be Minister of Pensioner Affairs in the new cabinet of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Life

Prior to his entry into politics Orbach worked as a journalist. He hosted the talk show The Last Word in the army radio and wrote for the Israeli daily newspaper Jedi'ot Aharonot. In 2009 he stood as a candidate in elections to the Knesset for the first time HaBajit haJehudi and since then sitting in the Knesset.

He currently lives in Modi'in, is married and has four children.
