Uroš II succeeded his father Uroš I and ruled over Raszien, Dioklitien and the coastal countries (now Herzegovina), sometimes also over Bosnia. He was defeated in 1161 by the Byzantine Emperor Manuel I Comnenus. Raszien came under the domination of Byzantium, as Župan the son Uroš II Desa was used.
