The Urup (Russian Уруп ) is a left tributary of the Kuban in the North Caucasus (Russia).
It is 231 km long and rises near the village Urup on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus in 3232 m height. At the mouth of the river in the Kuban is the town of Armavir. Until Staniza Udobnaja the Urup is a high mountain river, while he continues to flow downward through a flat terrain.
The Urup is among others fed with rain water, the level in the months of June and July is the highest in particular due to frequent heavy rain.
