The USS Farragut (DDG -99 ) is a destroyer in the United States Navy and is one of the Arleigh Burke - class. Namesake of the ship is David Glasgow Farragut, a prominent naval officer from the 19th century.

History

The Farragut was commissioned in 1998. Was built the ship from the shipyard Bath Iron Works, which is part of the company General Dynamics.
