The USS Michigan ( SSBN-/SSGN-727 ) is a submarine of the United States Navy and is part of the Ohio - class.
History
The Michigan, was built by the Electric Boat General Dynamics Corporation in Groton, Connecticut, and entered service on 11 September 1982. The home port is Naval Base Kitsap in the Bangor, (Washington). There she met a March 16, 1983.
As of 2002, Michigan was converted in the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in a Ship Submersible Guided Missile Nuclear. In June 2007, the boat was again assigned to the fleet.
