The INS Jalashwa ( L41 ) is a Amphibientransportdock the Austin - class services in the Indian Navy. Originally the ship was under the name USS Trenton (LPD -14) in the service of the United States Navy.

History

The USS Trenton was named after the capital of New Jersey. Her home port was Norfolk in Virginia, but it was built by the Lockheed Shipbuilding and Construction Company of Seattle.

The first ride of 1971 finished ship it led to an exercise to Cuba. On June 28, four sailors were in an incident in one of the engine rooms killed: An exhaust valve was damaged. Then had the ship, first in Guantánamo Bay, are then repaired in Norfolk.
