Uwe Erkenbrecher
Uwe Erkenbrecher ( born November 14, 1954) is a German former football player and current football coach.
Club career
As Active Erkenbrecher was from 1972 to 1975 pro at Werder Bremen. In those three seasons, he came in the Bundesliga 24 times used, where he scored his only Bundesliga goal in the game at SC Fortuna Cologne on March 9, 1974 against the former national goalkeeper Wolfgang Fahrian. He moved in 1975 at the behest of coach Karl -Heinz Feldkamp to Wattenscheid 09 to the 2nd Bundesliga Nord; In 1978 he went to KSV Baunatal who at the time was also playing in the 2nd Bundesliga. In total, he completed 46 games in the second highest German league.
Coaching career
In his first three coach stations in Westphalia Erkenbrecher worked as player-manager, before he youth coach at FC Cologne 1 was 1988. From 1991, he coached the VfL Wolfsburg, rise with the from the Oberliga Nord in the 2nd Bundesliga. After his release in February 1993, he signed on to the north- Oberliga Hamburg VfL 93 before he was obliged to start of the season by the then second division side FC Carl Zeiss Jena. After his release in September 1993, he returned in November of the year to VfL returned to Hamburg and managed with the club qualifying for the Regionalliga Nord, before it was even released there two years later. As an amateur and youth coach in 1996, he returned back to VfL Wolfsburg in March 1998 and was interim coach of the now ascended to the Bundesliga club. The following season, he was obliged from VfB Lübeck. By 16 November 2000, he worked at VfB in the Regionalliga Nord in a responsible position. He then took over in the 2nd league at SpVgg Greuther Fürth the post of head coach, a position he held until August 2001. From December 2001 to February 2003, he worked again in the Regional at SC Paderborn 07, before he went for two months in Iran, where he was assistant coach for Esteghlal Tehran. On 5 May 2003, he took over the job as coach of the SSV Reutlingen, but he could not save them from relegation. Since Reutlingen received a license for the Regional, Erkenbrecher managed the club in the Oberliga Baden -Württemberg, before he returned as coach of the second team to VfL Wolfsburg in March 2004. Of the league amateurs, he moved on 5 March 2007 again for VfB Lübeck in the Regionalliga Nord. On 15 October 2007 he was on leave at VfB because the club was not satisfied with the sports development and the goals for the season looked in danger. At this time the team was in 14th place in the table. In the winter of 2008 Erkenbrecher signed with VfB Faller life, from 1 July 2008, he coached the Berlin regional league Türkiyemspor Berlin. Since July 1, 2009 was Erkenbrecher head coach of Rot-Weiss Essen in the Regionalliga West. In the summer of 2010 it was announced that the contract is not renewed with Erkenbrecher. End of December 2010 signed Erkenbrecher a two- year contract with the Indonesian club Cenderawasih FC on the island of West Papua.
In the 2013 season, he took over as coach at the Estonian first division JK Tammeka Tartu, he led the league in Meistriliiga.
Others
His son Yannick ( b. 1983 ) played under him in the season 2002/ 03 in the third division SC Paderborn and in the season 2003/ 04, at the Oberliga side SSV Reutlingen. Another son, Steffen Erkenbrecher (* 1988), is active in the higher-class North German amateur football.
