Uzuncaburç

Uzuncaburç ( Turkish for High Tower ) is a municipality in the district of the Turkish province of Mersin Silifke. It is located about 25 kilometers north of Silifke and 60 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Mersin.

Uzuncaburç is located in the mountainous hinterland of Silifke, the ancient Seleucia on Calycadnus. In the village and the nearby pond Ura are the ruins of ancient cities and olba Diocaesarea. Its name refers to a Hellenistic living and Watchtower.
