Vadim Yemelyanov

Vadim Mikhailovich Yemelyanov (Russian Вадим Михайлович Емельянов; born April 25, 1942May 27, 1977 ) was a Soviet boxer. He won a bronze medal in the heavyweight division at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Career

The Leningrad Vadim Yemelyanov began as a teenager with the boxes. His coach was W. I. Kupkin. He was a member of the Red Army. In 1961 he made ​​his first appearance in when he only 19 years old, at the Soviet Championship reached the semi-finals, but lost in this Anatioli against Ivanov on points.
