Vallensbæk Municipality

Vallensbæk Kommune is a Danish community in the Capital Region. It extends over an area of 9.50 km ² in the western suburbs of Copenhagen and Vallensbæk itself is part of the Capital Region Hovedstadsområdet, but not the rural portions of the municipality. But live outside the closed settlement area only 559 of the 14,797 inhabitants of the municipality (as of 1 January 2013).

Vallensbæk municipality remained with the administrative reform of 2007, retained in full, but works in administrative matters with the westerly Ishøj community together. The municipality changed from Københavns office in the new Capital Region.

Villages in the municipality

The municipal area, which is coextensive with the only parish Vallensbæk Sogn, are the following villages with over 200 inhabitants ( byer as defined by the Danish Bureau of Statistics ), with a registered population of zero, the place in the past had more than 200 inhabitants:
