Vanil Carré

Château d'Oex at the foot of wooded Le Guentéflin ( 1,845 m above sea level. M. ), next rises over the craggy rock of the La Vausseresse Vanil Carré.

The Vanil Carré ( 2'197 m above sea level. M. ) is one of the highest peaks of the Fribourg Pre-Alps in Switzerland. The rocky knoll rises north of La Vausseresse ( 1'643 m above sea level. M. ), the headwaters of the Rivière des Tenasses. He belongs to the Vanil Noir ridge, over which runs the border between the cantons of Fribourg and Vaud. On the Vanil Carré, the municipal boundaries of Château d'Oex Grand Villard and skin -Intyamon meet.

The Vanil Carré belongs to the competent limestone Préalpes median plastiques. In the region there are also typical karst phenomena, so are below the Vanil Carré La Vausseresse pronounced carts.
