Vasile Ursu

Vasile Ursu ( born August 1, 1948 in ratus, Rajon Criuleni ) is a Moldovan politician and former mayor of Chisinau.

Vasile Ursu is a qualified civil engineer and graduated in 1975 at the Technical University of Moldova. From 1993 to 1995 he was next to Nicolae Costin and between 2003 and 2005 in addition to Serafim Urecheanu Deputy Mayor of Chisinau. On 20 April 2005, he joined its successor as mayor. On 25 January 2007 Ursu was replaced by Veaceslav Iordan as mayor.
