Vehicle registration plates of Mozambique

The license plate in Mozambique have a basic black and white label. The number plates start with an M as an abbreviation of the country name. Here are two additional letters, the first of which indicates the origin of the vehicle. After a two hyphens appear by a new hyphenated pairs of digits. The indicator system is based largely on that of the former colonial power Portugal, where until 1992 black signs with the schema AB 12-34 were used.

Diplomatic show red font on a yellow background. You begin with the letters CD, followed by a three digit number that indicates the country of origin. After the letter M a three-digit serial number still appears.
