Velké Hostěrádky

Velké Hostěrádky ( German Hostraditz, formerly United Hostieradek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers north of Klobouky u Brna and belongs to Okres Břeclav.

Geography

Velké Hostěrádky is located on the southwestern foot of the Ždánický. The village is located on the left side of the creek Hunivky in the valley of the inflow Hostěrádský creek. To the north rise the Novosady (350 m), in the northeast of Prostřední vrch ( Mitter mountain, 315 m), east of the Lipiny ( 300 m), the South East Stračínky (277 m ) south of the Ostry (317 m) and the Stara Hora in the southwest of Časkovec ( Czaskow, 319 m) ​​, the west Vesela hora (340 m ) and to the northwest and the periph Vysoká ( Randlerberg, 365 m). In the vicinity of Velké Hostěrádky there are several vineyards. To the north lies the medieval deserted village Skřipov.

Neighboring towns are Svatá and Lovčičky in the north, Zdravá Voda in the northeast, and Dambořice Čtvrtě in the east, in the southeast Bohumilice, Kašnice and Klobouky u Brna in the south, Marti Nice in the south west, and Časkovec Borkovany in the west and Bošovice in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Velké Hostěrádky was in 1210, when Lev Klobouk of the village, along with other places, the donated monastery he Obrowitz ( Zábrdovice ) gave at Brno. The owners of Velké Hostěrádky changed frequently. A part of the goods belonged in the mid-14th century the Vladiken of Hostěhrádek whose fortress was west of the village on the top of Hradisko at Časkovec stood. In the 17th century, the Liechtenstein purchased the goods and they joined at their reign Ždánice. Until the mid-19th century Velké Hostěrádky remained subservient always Ždánice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hrubé Hostěrádky / Great Hostieradek formed in 1850 a market town in the district team Auspitz. At the end of the 19th century, the town was referred to as Velké Hostěhrádky. After the district town Auspitz had been added to the 1938 German Empire as a result of the Munich Agreement, Velké Hostěrádky was assigned to the political district of Brno-Country and the jurisdiction Seelowitz 1938-1949. 1948, the parish became part of the Okres Austerlitz. After its cancellation Velké Hostěrádky 1961 assigned to the Okres Břeclav.

Velké Hostěrádky consists of about 200 houses, of which 160 availed permanently for residential purposes.

Attractions

  • Catholic Church of St. Sebastian, Roch and Rosalie, the proven since the 16th century church burned down in 1789. After the reconstruction, it was consecrated in 1794.
