Velko Kunev

Welko Christow Kanev (also Velko Kanev Hristov, Bulgarian Велко Христов Кънев; born July 31, 1948 in Elchowo, † December 11, 2011 in Sofia) was a Bulgarian actor, singer and comedian.

Biography

Welko Kanev, born in 1948 in Elchowo, studied until 1973 Acting at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia ( Национална академия за театрално и филмово изкуство; НАТФИЗ ) and was then an actor at the Bulgarian National Theatre " Ivan Vazov ". For even greater notoriety him his involvement helped to a variety of known films of the Bulgarian cinema and television, such as in his roles as " Velko " in orchestra without a name ( Bulg Оркестър без име ) in 1982, when Inspector Tjuchtschew in Bon shan, inspektore! ( Bulg Бон шанс инспекторе! ) in 1983 and as Perro the thief in The 13th fiancé of Prince ( Bulg 13 - ата годеница на принца ) 1987. Together with Pavel Popandow and Georgi Kanev Mamalew has the well-known cabaret group " NLO " ( Bulgarian established for " UFO" ), emerged from the later television series Club NLO ( bulg Клуб НЛО ).

Welko Kanev died on the night of 11 on December 12, 2011 from cancer.
