Vendela Vida

Vendela Vida ( born September 6, 1971) is an American writer, journalist and editor. She is married to the writer and author Dave Eggers and lives with him and their two children in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Vida has written four books. The novel And Now You Can Go was published in 2003 ( German: And now you can go ), which is in New York, San Francisco, and the Philippines, and traces the impulsive journeys of a young woman after a attack. In a 2003 article published in the Guardian itself Vida expressed about their plan to write a trilogy of novels as a writer on the subject of violence and anger. The second novel Let the Northern Lights Erase Your Name ( German: Because I was late ), who plays in Lapland, was published in 2007. Vida 's latest novel, The Lovers ( German: Loving ) was published in June 2010 by Ecco. Joyce Carol Oates called The Lovers a captivating and thrilling novel about an American woman on the road to self-discovery.

Screenplay

Vida worked on the screenplay for the 2009 released movie Away We Go - On to Somewhere, directed by Sam Mendes, starring John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph, as co -author.

826 Valencia

Vida is co-founder and board member non-profit organization 826 Valencia, which was founded by her, her husband Dave Eggers and educator Nineveh Clements Calegari, 2002 in San Francisco to life. " 826 Valencia " was conceived as a center for learning to write for children and teens aged 6-18 years. It has seven branches ( Chapter) expanded in the United States: in the cities Los Angeles, New York City, Seattle, Chicago, Ann Arbor, Washington, DC and Boston, all under the auspices of the nonprofit organization 826 National.
