Vester Pegg

Vester Pegg (* May 23, 1889 in Appleton City, Missouri, † February 19, 1951 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor.

Life

Vester Pegg stepped between * 1912 and to 1941 in about 140 films, mostly in Western and adventure films. In 1915 he had his first major role in the film The Lucky Transfer. In the same year he appeared in a supporting role in the unlisted but epic film The Birth of a Nation by David Wark Griffith.

Before the film career Pegg had the 101 Miller Ranch troupe member, the aufführte Wild West shows, it also completed guest performances in Europe. 1919 Pegg was the second performer of the Cisco Kid. For Hans wool stone came Pegg, already a purely external, because of its wild, almost forbidden appearance ' intended by the Cisco Kid inventor O. Henry image of the good- bad guy, which should constitute the Cisco Kid character, closer than was for later rather glamorous Cisco Kid actors like Cesar Romero or Duncan Renaldo. In one of his last film roles Pegg appeared in John Ford's Western Stagecoach ( Ringo ), a film that many former silent movie star moved into the picture again. Back in the early Cheyenne Harry silent film Western by John Ford with lead actor Harry Carey Pegg was involved, mostly in larger supporting roles.
