Vibeke Lunde

Vibeke " Babben " Lunde (* March 21, 1921; † August 12, 1962 ) was a Norwegian sailor who in 1952 won an Olympic silver medal.

Vibeke met her future husband Peder Lunde Senior 1936 on the island Ormøya near Oslo know when sailing. 1942 her son Peder Lunde Junior was born.

At the 1952 Olympics sailing Peder Lunde Senior, Vibeke Lunde and her brother Børre Falkum - Hansen in the 5.5 - meter class yacht Encore. Orvar Larsen had actually bought the yacht for his son, but she was still too young. On the race track in front of Helsinki, the crew was four times Second, once Fourth and Fifth once, which was enough behind the U.S. Complex II in the final to No. 2.

Her son Peder Junior was 1960 Olympic champion.
