Vicente Barbieri

Vicente Barbieri ( born August 31, 1903 in Alberti, Buenos Aires, † September 10, 1956 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine journalist and writer.

Barbieri came from a humble background. Early on he earned his living as a farm laborer. Later he was trained as a typesetter in a print shop and on these contacts, he became a journalist several smaller regional newspapers.

1955 appointed to Barbieri as President of the Sociedad Argentina de Escritores ( SADE ), the Writers' Union of Argentina.

Ten days after his 53rd birthday Barbieri died on September 10, 1956 of tuberculosis in Buenos Aires and found his last resting place in the municipal cemetery of Alberti.
