Victor Adam

Jean Victor Adam Vincent ( born January 28, 1801 in Paris, † December 30, 1866 in Viroflay in Paris) was a French painter and lithographer history.

Life

The son of the engraver Jean Adam made ​​his debut at the age of 18 years at the Paris Salon. He delivered the taste of the Restoration period illustrations from the earlier French history, from the Revolution and the Napoleonic campaigns. It shows in the composition of skill, but does not reach its more famous contemporaries Nicolas Toussaint Charlet and Hippolyte Bellangé.

Later he turned exclusively to lithography. His printed sheets fill 24 folio volumes in the Print Room of the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris.
