VÃctor (footballer born 1974)
Víctor Manuel Fernández Gutiérrez, short Víctor ( born April 17, 1974 in Mérida ) is a Spanish footballer who plays for FC Cartagena División in the Spanish Segunda.
Playing career
The beginnings
Victor began his career as a football player for Real Madrid Castilla, for which he achieved from 1992 to 1994 a total of seven goals in 27 games. He was then brought by the Spanish side CD Tenerife, in which, however, he initially had a hard time. In the first year and a half he came only 16 appearances in which he scored two goals. For this reason he was cast for the second half of the 1995/1996 season in the second division CD Toledo. There he made his breakthrough with ten goals in 20 games.
Real Valladolid / Villarreal
In summer 1996, Víctor Fernández Gutiérrez joined the first division Real Valladolid for which he was able to achieve 16 goals in 42 games in the very first season. In the following two years, he scored five and four goals, was in the 1999/2000 season with 13 season hits again able to return to old services. In summer 2000, Víctor changed despite the successful time with Valladolid to first division team FC Villarreal, who qualified for the Primera División for the first time. In his first two years at the Ostspaniern he scored 14 goals each again. With the growing demands in Villarreal Víctor built from despite a root square. Eight goals this season 2002/2003 was followed just three hits 2003/2004.
Return to Valladolid
In the season 2004/2005 Víctor returned to his now relegated to the Segunda División former club Real Valladolid. There he found gradually back to its former strength. With eight and eleven goals in the first two years after his return, however, he could not even move crucial. In the 2006/2007 season with 19 goals this season, Víctor had División significant role in the rise of his club in the Primera. Also in the 2007/2008 season Víctor has been known to convince seven goals in 30 game days.
