Victor Wong (actor born 1927)

Victor Wong (full name: Yee Keung Victor Wong, born July 30, 1927 in San Francisco; † 12 September 2001 in Locke, California ) was a Chinese- American actor.

As a born in the States Chinese reported Victor Wong 1968-1974 as a journalist of the demonstrations against the Vietnam War and the history of Patty Hearst. For health reasons, he had to hang up this job. That's why he became an actor. On television, he was seen in the series " Search for Tomorrow " (1979) with Kevin Bacon. Among his most famous works include: Year of the Dragon. The Last Emperor, Big Trouble in Little China ( with Kurt Russell ), In Search of the Golden Child ( with Eddie Murphy ), The Prince of Darkness ( with Donald Pleasence ), Shanghai Surprise ( starring Sean Penn and Madonna ) and especially Tremors ( with Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward). In the 1990s he had a recurring role in the 3 Ninjas movie series as grandfather. With the last part - Mega Mountain Mission - from 1998 also ended his film career.

Wong died in 2001 of heart failure.
