Viktor Khristenko

Viktor Borisovich Khristenko (Russian Виктор Борисович Христенко; born August 28, 1957 in Chelyabinsk) is a Russian politician, Minister, dated 24 February interim acting until March 5, 2004 Prime Minister of Russia.

Biography

After graduating from Chelyabinsk Polytechnic for Engineering and the Academy of National Economy 1979-1990 he was a lecturer at the Department of Economics of mechanical engineering at the Polytechnic University of Chelyabinsk.

Later he received the post of Deputy Minister of Finance. Since May 1999 he has been Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government and Acting Prime Minister. On February 24, President Putin dismissed the former Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov. Khristenko, the Office continued on an interim basis. On 1 March 2004 Putin Mikhail Fradkov nominated as the new Prime Minister, who was four days later confirmed by the Duma and Khristenko replaced.

In a cabinet reshuffle on 9 March 2004 Khristenko moved from the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Industry Minister. Currently Khristenko 's Minister of Industry and Trade.

Khristenko since 2003 with the economic policy spokeswoman of Vladimir Putin, Tatiana Alekseyevna Golikova married.
