Viktor Zubarev

Viktor Zubarev Jegorowitsch ( Kazakh / Russian Виктор Егорович Зубарев; born 10 April 1973 in Aqsu, Kazakhstan, † 18 October 2004 in Omsk, Russia ) was a Kazakh football player.

Career

From 1993 to 1996 he played in the Kazakhstan Super League at Batyr. In 76 games he scored 18 goals for his club. In 1997 he then moved to the Irtysh Pavlodar, where he scored 10 goals in a season. After a weak season ( 1998) at Arsenal Tula, he moved back to the Irtysh, where he experienced his career peak. He scored in the 1999/00 season 22 goals in 26 games for the Irtysh. In the same year he was also elected in Kazakhstan Player of the Year.

Between 2000 and 2002 he played for Apollon Limassol in Cyprus. His last stops were again Irtysh and Jessil Bogatyr. He died on 18 October 2004.

Viktor Zubarev scored 12 goals in 18 games for the Kazakh national team.
